640 Professional Building - WORKPLACE REDEFINED

The offices of Luc and Jean Beriault are located in 640 Professional Building (640 Holdings Ltd.), downtown Medicine Hat, Alberta (View Map).  The concept/quality/culture of 640 Professional Building is unique to Medicine Hat.  The concept for Medicine Hat was conceived by the two partners, Luc and Jean in the Spring of 2007 while working/consulting out of their home.  The desire to separate work from home and give their children their home back was paramount.  The image of a large, quality office environment, yet sharing the cost of the commom ammenities (such as front reception, kids' zone, photocopier, boardroom, lounge room, staff room, kitchen, resource center, exercise room, shower facility and many more) with other like-minded business people was important.  The downtown building was purchased in December 2007 and construction began almost immediately.  Construction was essentially complete by December 2008, about one year later and professional office space began to fill.  640 Holdings' mission is to bring professional office-space seekers to a quality facility in downtown Medicine Hat.  The facility fulfills a working environment or a culture for companies such as consultant firms and professionals via an ammenities-style office space.

640 Holdings' competitive advantage is the shortage of classy executive office space in downtown Medicine Hat.  Epansions were required in Spring 2010 and in December 2010, including the purchase and construction of an adjacent building to keep up with the demand for the ammenities-style office space.  Luc and Jean have used the business insight of several office environments, successful construction companies and developers, and accounting firms' strategic instructions and guidence to identify operational, marketing and pricing strategies.  Companies leasing office space in 640 Professional Building are currently in the areas of Accounting, Property Management, Book-keeping, Mental Counselling, Speech and Language, Health Nutrition, Palliative Care Society, Commercial and Home Construction, Engineering Consulting (Civil and Petroleum), Business and HR Consulting, Bankruptcy Trustee, Child Care Society, Retail Consulting, National Commercial Real Estate and Financial Services.

WTA Management Team

Jean Hidalgo Bériault, B.Sc., P. Eng.

Jean Bériault is the primary consultant for WTA Services.  Jean has been in the oil and gas industry for a combined 13 years and a graduate of the University of Calgary with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering.  Most of her professional career has been spent gaining valuable experience in the areas of ERCB well test compliance (in the areas of well test capture system), well test analysis/engineering, determination of well performance, optimization and reservoir studies.  Her career initially started at Tri-Ener-Tech Petroleum Services Ltd. as a summer student for two years and then joined Laird, Anderson and Associates Ltd. shortly after graduation.  Jean had an opportunity to work with the team at Rapid Technology Corporation after its merge with Laird, Anderson and Associates.  Jean’s experience with Paramount Resources Ltd. was valuable in experiencing both the service sector and the resource sector.

Jean continues to develop her skills through challenging engineering projects, leadership seminars, technical presentations and courses.  She embraces the opportunity for involvement in local APEGGA functions/events and has for several years, been involved in the Southeastern Alberta Regional Science Fair as well as a few years with the APEGGA Science Olympics (Medicine Hat).  Her local community involvement also includes major fund-raising events and volunteer work with the kids at the Medicine Hat Dream Center.

Jean Bériault is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta and is a member of the Petroleum Society of Canada.

Luc Bériault, Business Director and Sales / Marketing

Luc Bériault, Partner/Director of WTA Services, President of Positive Life Concepts (PLC) is a consultant in the areas of business growth, land development, leadership development, recruitment, strategic growth and succession planning, human resources and Trust-based Selling for today's businesses.  He's been hosting leadership seminars and training on leadership topics for two decades.  Luc is actively involved with several businesses and partnerships.  He is the Chairman of Advance Medicine Hat, he is also active in non-for-profit organizations, a Board Member (Vice-Chairman) of City Centre Development Agency (CCDA) as well as a board member with the Medicine Hat Regional Human Resources Association (MHRHRA).  He started his career and teachings with the Canadian Military School of Communication 20 years ago and further-on was asked to impart leadership at their Leadership Academy.

Luc has moulded over 50 HR training and leadership curriculum courses for governments, sales and leading-edge companies, leadership seminars and more recently has added offices in their new training centre for leadership, staffing and recruiting and ethics in Medicine Hat.  He focuses on Trust-based relationship and strategic business development skills for businesses with intricate services.

Luc's education was through the military in both communication and leadership and spent the first 16 years of his career with the Department of National Defence serving across Canada and abroad.  Luc's past clients and practice have included Technology, Non-for-profit, Engineering, Health Care, Financial Services and Government Organziations, Businesses with selling composite services, Oil and Gas companies and Retail Service Organizations and consulted in the areas of Strategic Planning, Sales Increase and HR.

In addition to his Businesses, Luc and his team have founded Advance Medicine Hat, a non-for-profit leadership group of leaders in Southeast Alberta and has co-written and dispersed articles in leadership, sales, HR and Ethics.  Luc is imminently qualified to direct our service-intensive organization in the areas of business management and sales and marketing.
